We also employ 35–40 seasonal workers, usually starting in March/April. A large majority of our full-time staff began as seasonal workers.

CEC is looking for the right candidate for our Agricultural Sales Representative who will promote and sell seed, Ag fertilizer, Ag crop protection products, custom application services, and other agricultural crop inputs.
Responsibilities will include assisting in the management of our exclusive Pioneer brand seed business. Direct activities as it relates to Pioneer will include: account management, inventory management, seed shipping and product returns, as well as service-related activities, including evaluating plant populations, signing fields, and planning and managing hybrid & variety trials.
The rep will build strong relationships with customers by following through from the sale of products to the harvest of the customer's crops. The rep will be expected to evaluate the response of those products to crop productivity by evaluating and measuring results during the growing season through harvest.

These duties may also include managing plot trials, scouting fields, soil and tissue sampling, researching new products, consulting, and researching and implementing new technology. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. The rep is also expected to increase their knowledge in the industry, as well as products, while managing activities with minimum supervision.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture preferred but will consider extensive experience in Agriculture. Recent college graduates will be considered. The employee must be safety-oriented, customer driven, and a dedicated team member. Must have a clean DMV driving record.
Experience: Applicant should have a strong agronomy background with practical agricultural experience. Computer skills, strong organizational skills with attention to details, strong communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with customers and co-workers a must.
Working Conditions: Multiple customer locations such as dairy and crop farms, office environment, varied daily schedule generally on the road which will include some Saturdays.
Area: Local territory based in Stafford, NY, with destinations throughout Western New York
